This interactive chart displays a century’s worth of GE annual reports, offering filters by industry category. It might prove to be a useful analogy when thinking about how to organize information along different axes in my thesis UI.
As a designer neck-deep in thesis, I can only hope to create work that communicates on many levels that can immediately grab one’s attention as well as retain it with valuable content and details.

These maps are beautiful and informative enough taken as a whole, but the details capture their personality and essence best.
